Match Report - 01 Oct 2022, Dunfermline City Hockey Club Dunfermline City First Team beat Dunfermline Carnegie 4s

City won a close derby V a Carnegie 4's/Development mix.

The first half was mostly City although Birrell made a fine save early on before Rintoul put City one up from the old routine of a one two with Gareth Edwards. Then Pat Forrester fired City 2 up.

City were forced into a change when Ryan Green took a head knock just before half time and this led to a bit of unstableness in the City ranks for a while.

Second half Negie were mostly on top with a lot of younger legs running the midfield. Chris Hill scored a cracking goal and then was unfortunate with another effort. Negie also appeared to get a lot of short corners in the second half when more clear ones in the first half werent awarded. However City managed the storm and came away deserved 2.1 winners and ended the second half on top.

This was a fine derby played in decent spirts.
