City 2nd XI vs Fidra 2nd XI: Sat 29th October 2011

29 Oct 2011

City welcomed Fidra to Queen Anne HS and the hosts got off to the best possible start with a smartly taken goal by debut striker Dave Tanton.

City continued to pile on the pressure forcing the Fidra keeper to pull of a string of smart saves.  City were eventually rewarded when Graeme Crombe completed a slick move by coolly firing his shot low past the keeper.

Fidra managed to pull a goal back before half time following a swift counterattack.

In the second half, city conceded an early penalty following a rash challenge by the City keeper who was fortunate not to receive a card.  The resulting penalty was missed by the Fidra striker.  As the second period wore on, City began to tire and conceded two quick goals, despite creating several more opportunities, City were denied an equaliser and slumped to a 3-2 defeat.
