Dunfermline City Hockey Club News story

Weekend Update & The future

17 Mar 2017

Dunfermline City Hockey Club only have 3 games remaining this season - and currently sit mid table in East League Division. 2. 3 wins could see City finish in 3rd place so there is still a lot to play for.

This weekend City entertain runaway league champions Edinburgh University at Woodmill in a 10.30 push back. City are pretty much back to full strength after struggling to put a team out last week and will hope to shock the league leaders. If you are at a loose end on Saturday please feel free to come along and support City.

Dunfermline City are the only subscription free hockey club in Scotland (outwith Uni teams) - which means the only cost to members is a token match fee of £5. We are looking to strengthen our squad for next season now and would love to hear from anyone who would be interested in joining up for next season as soon as possible. After this weekend there are two league games left so you could even take part/watch one or both of these. Dependant on demand we would look at running some training sessions and friendly matches over the summer months to get us set up for the new season come next September.

We are a family friendly club - who are a registered charity - with the goal of serving the community through opportunities to allow local people the chance to play hockey at very little cost.

We currently only have a male team - and can cater for the age range 14 upwards. If you are interested please contact us through either the Facebook page or though the contract page of our club website.
