If you are a male aged 14 or above and are interested in playing hockey, please contact us as we are always looking for new players. We do not currently have any U14 teams or ladies teams, so if you are interested in playing at those levels, please visit the website of the Dunfermline Carnegie Hockey Club.

Match Report - 25 Jan 2020, Dunfermline City Hockey Club Dunfermline City First Team lost to Reivers

City went to Reivers with just 12 men - and were up against a squad of 16.

The game started evenly with City taking the lead when Creag Campbell finished well to get his first goal of the season.

Reiver then got an equaliser against the run of play while City suffered a huge blow with influential Iain Mitchell taking a blow to his hand. Iain had to sit out the rest of the game after only playing for ten mins.

City probably had the better of the rest of the half but could not score.

Second half City went back ahead - when Cunniffe finished well from a short corner.

The legs then went - and Reviers equalised then quickly went in front.

Heads then went down in the last 10 minutes and Reivers scored another 3. One should never have stood however as it was hit from outside the D. But none the less heads had gone and legs were shot.

Good performance for 45 minutes but then only having 11 after Iains injury meant we stuggled later in the game. There was never 4 goals beween the teams but thats what the scoreline shows.

City were missing several experienced players for this game so we cannot let our heads go down - hopefully have a stronger squad next week.

Next week City hope to bounce back V Stirling at home.
