City 2nd XI vs Eskvale: Sat 12th November 2011

12 Nov 2011

City welcomed Eskvale to Queen Anne.  After a poor first half showing from City with very openings being created and Eskvale creating the better opportunities, the teams went in 0-0 at half time.

In the second half, City started slowly but following a reshuffle started to impose themselves in the game.  The breakthrough finally coming courtesy of a David Miller strike following a through ball from skipper for the day Gareth Edwards.  Shortly after the restart, quick play and sharp passing saw Miller score his second of the day.

Eskvale managed to pull one back but sharpshooter Miller managed to complete his hatrick courtesy of an OG by the Eskvale keeper to re establish City’s 2 goal lead. Eskvale continued to press forward and managed to pull another goal back, albeit dubiously when the Eskvale forward kicked the ball into the goal. City managed to create further chances but no more goals came and City managed to secure their second win of the season by 3 goals to 2.

Final Score: City 2nd XI 3 – Eskvale 2
